THE GOLDEN RULES OF GAS

READ INSTRUCTIONS AND DO YOUR RESEARCH

We know most people do not like to read instructions...who else has attempted an entire furniture setup without looking at the instructions!

In this case we do not encourage this, we are big on safety and that's why we try give you as much information as we possibly can to keep you safe using our products...after all they are fire!

Read the instruction manuals and follow us on Facebook, Instagram or our YouTube Channel to get the latest Safety Information and Tips & Tricks.

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR SEALS

Checking the quality of the seals is an important step, it helps you visually identify before you even try connecting a gas cartridge if it is safe to do so.

Make sure you check the cartridge and the burner!

Beware, just because they look like they are in good condition does not mean there can't be leaks! Always follow the full safety procedure before using your torch and never skip steps!

ALWAYS CHECK FOR LEAKS

A simple step that could prevent an absolute catastrophe!

Whether you are experienced with torches or using them for the first time you need to check for leaks, every time.

Products like the Gas Leak Detection Spray or simply some soapy water will do the trick! Just spray on the connection, listen for a hissing noise, smell of gas or look to see if there are bubbles... if any one these are happening, disconnect the torch and do not use it.

CHECK YOUR SURROUNDINGS

Checking your surrounding is extremely important and a bit of common sense is required here as it is difficult to list every potentially hazardous situation!

Before you ignite your torch, look to make sure your surrounding are safe to work in, some examples of potentially hazardous situation could include the below:

  • Flammable materials - make sure there is nothing flammable near you
  • Debris - make sure your workspace is clear of rubbish
  • People - never point a torch at yourself or someone else
  • Airflow - always work in a well-ventilated area

ALWAYS DISCONNECT YOUR TOOLS FROM THE GAS AFTER USE

Seems simple doesn't it... this is a very commonly overlooked step.

By disconnecting the gas cartridge from the torch burner, you eliminate any change of the torch accidentally igniting... believe us, this happens!

Piezo ignition only take a simple click of the trigger and if you have gas connected well guess what, the torch will ignite.

Once you have finished using your torch, disconnect it! Make sure you don't touch the burner, it will be hot and will take a while to cool down.
